Should I be careful using it around pets?
As with any aerosol or fragrance product, it's sensible to spray in a room your pet isn't currently in, let it settle for a few minutes, and keep the space well-ventilated rather than sealed shut. Avoid spraying directly near food or water bowls, bedding, or your pet itself. If your pet has known sensitivities, it's worth checking with your vet first.
How long does a spray-on air freshener actually last?
Unlike diffusers or vent clips that rely on constant evaporation, a spray only releases fragrance when you use it β so "how long it lasts" really means two things: how long the scent lingers in the room per use, and how many uses you get per bottle. Because you control exactly how much you use each time, a 300ML bottle typically stretches across weeks of regular use rather than being spent all at once.
Is it safe to use in a closed car?
Spray, let it settle for a minute with a window cracked, then close up β the same as you would with any aerosol in an enclosed space. Avoid spraying directly on upholstery or dashboard plastic; mist into the air instead.
Will it stain fabric or leave residue?
Spray fragrances are formulated to evaporate rather than sit on surfaces, but as a precaution, avoid direct spraying onto light-colored upholstery, curtains, or leather from very close range β mist into the air a foot or two away instead.
Can I mix scents, or should I stick to one?
You can absolutely use different scents in different rooms β in fact we recommend it (see our room-by-room guide). Just avoid spraying two different scents in the same enclosed room back-to-back, since fragrance layering can turn muddy rather than pleasant.
What's actually in the bottle?
Each MEHAKVA spray is built around a top/heart/base note structure like a fine fragrance, rather than a single flat scent note β see the individual product pages for the full fragrance profile of each of our four scents.
